Catalyst Group Launches Catinox: Specialist Surface Technology Division for Life Sciences

LIESTAL, SWITZERLAND - Catalyst Group AG is pleased to announce the official launch of Catinox, its dedicated surface treatment division serving pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.

Catinox delivers engineer-led, GMP-compliant surface treatment for pharmaceutical and biotech process systems: on-site for fixed installations (water-for-injection loops, clean-steam systems, process skids) and in-house for components, fittings, and small parts. Services span the full surface treatment lifecycle: rouge assessment and classification (Type I, II, III), chemical derouge using pH-neutral chemistry, repassivation, CIP cleaning, descaling, derusting, and ultrasonic cleaning. Every treatment cycle is documented to validation-grade standard, supported by ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification.

The division was built around a compliance program model rather than a one-off service: establishing a system baseline, supporting risk-based monitoring, and treating on schedule before rouge becomes a deviation or an inspection finding. This approach reflects the team's background: Catinox engineers have specified, designed, and commissioned the same GMP systems they now service, which means they understand precisely what quality teams need, because they used to be on that side of the table.

The integration of Catinox within Catalyst Group means clients gain access to specialist surface treatment capabilities as part of a broader project management, commissioning, and qualification program, delivered by a single accountable partner across the full facility lifecycle.
